Eckosil: Bioavailable silicon for controlling abiotic stresses
 Eckosil is an organic biostimulant based on Orthosilicic Acid which helps to strengthen cell walls, giving them greater turgidity and resistance to biotic and abiotic stress. Plants containing Silicon have greater stomatal conductivity, higher water content and greater water potential in the cell, which allows the plant to withstand higher temperaturen. On the other hand, Silicon has the power to activate the plant’s defense mechanisms against abiotic stress. |

At the moment, the increase in the average global temperature is having a profound effect on our climate, affecting agricultural production. Asfertglobal has developed a specific protocol to help growers mitigate the damage caused by extreme temperatures, as well as to improve fruit quality. |

The results of a trial carried out on mandarins in the United States showed a clear difference between the control method and the method in which Eckosil was applied, with the latter showing a reduction of around 11% in fruit damage compared to the control method, with the great advantage that Eckosil leaves no residue on the crop. |

In terms of fruit size, Eckosil performed best, obtaining 11% more commercial caliber fruit than the control.
This trial concludes that Eckosil not only protects the fruit from sunburn, but also allows the fruit to develop better, resulting in a larger and more uniform yield. |

15th EDITION FRUIT ATTRACTION |
