The increasing global demand for food represents one of the biggest challenges for agriculture, which needs to evolve towards more sustainable production methods. In this context, it is essential to promote safe alternatives to pesticides, capable of protecting and strengthening crop resistance against biotic stresses, in a sustainable way. Some of the solutions to this problem involve the use of new methods, not just protection, as well as crop biostimulation, which are presented as alternatives to chemically synthesized products, strengthening plant resistance to biotic and abiotic agents, and contributing to more effective, sustainable and zero residue protection.

Microbial inoculant with endophytic action that colonizes the surface of plants, promoting a natural competition unfavorable to the development of pathogenic microorganisms. Kiplant Endofit is composed of the unique strain of Bacillus velezensis BS36, developed and produced using exclusive INomics technology, with the ability to promote a balance between beneficial and antagonistic microorganisms.

|
Due to its endophytic character, it stimulates an induced resistance in the plant. |

Production of bioactive compounds such as secondary metabolites and proteins that regulate processes such as photosynthesis, nutrient absorption and stimulation of plant growth. |

Gonçalo Miranda is a field technician at Frutas Patrícia Pilar, a group with over 30 years of experience, recognized for the quality of its products and commitment to zero residue production. With the application of Kiplant Endofit, plants are visibly more resilient, with a greater ability to withstand stressful situations. “Frutas Patrícia Pilar is very keen to reduce residues in production, so this is a product we are very interested in. On the one hand, because consumers are asking for more sustainable products and, on the other, because it makes our job a lot easier in terms of operations. With no residues, Kiplant Endofit allows us to harvest the tomatoes without any pre harvest interval. We no longer have to worry about that. This product has exceeded our expectations, with proven efficacy in our production.”

Participation in the 16th edition of Fruit Attraction marked Asfertglobal's 12th consecutive presence at the event, standing out for its strong growth dynamics and capacity for innovation. This year we highlight the presentation of the innovative concept “Biologicals 3.0 - A step towards a more productive and sustainable agriculture”, which represents an evolution in the development and production of Biostimulants by Asfertglobal, the trilogy of biotechnological solutions made up of Prebiotics, Probiotics and Postbiotics is the culmination of this advance. These solutions are developed with the support of Omics, Big Data and Machine Learning techniques, and are enhanced by the exclusive INomics technology, which guarantees the superior performance of its products.

We had the pleasure of receiving a visit from our partner SYM-AGRO, INC. at Asfertglobal. An excellent opportunity to present the new Experimental Station - Kiplant LightHouse, learn more about the latest innovations in our production and storage process, and align the strategy for the 24/25 season.

Patrícia Correia joined the Asfertglobal team in 2022 as a Senior Researcher. She holds a PhD in Ecology from the University of Lisbon, developed his thesis at Guelph University, Ontario - Canada on the topic: “Mycorrhizal ecology for soil restoration in Mediterranean ecosystems”. He is currently carrying out his research at our Experimental Station - Kiplant Lighthouse, aims to find microbial solutions (PGPR and mycorrhizal fungi) to develop more sustainable agriculture, based on the symbiotic partnerships established between plants and the microbiome, participating in the development of innovative and unique products on the market, from their conception to final efficacy trials.
